“The Alternative to vacation is to stay at home and tip every third person you see”

8 Days. It was what we needed.

On July 4th we packed up and jumped in the car with Terrie’s sister and her family in tow and we rode out to Blairsville, Ga to my family’s lake house. I didn’t realize until i came home how much I needed it. I slept in most days and didn’t have to deal with the idiotic consistancy of my life at work. No snide remarks, no dirty looks, no baby’s daddys, no drunks. (for the most part)

We picked up some fireworks and set them off for the kids a few nights, which they loved. We swam, fished and pretty much took it easy the whole week. Terrie and I got to go on a bike ride to Helen, which was a great treat (thanks Raph and Jamie). Here are the highlights for the rest of the trip:

Cosey made sure that even though it was cloudy, she would have the fashon sense to wear sunglasses.

Chloe preferred to spend her time spitting, and not making many bubbles.

She did however have the thought to share her dinner on occasion

After the kids went to bed, the parents got to relax a bit. It is amazing how fast you can start a fire with newspaper and gasoline after drinking 3 beers.

Swim time: Having fun while your parents spend the whole time keeping you breathing more air than water.

Chloe playing with boy’s toys, Cosey wondering if the camera caught her good side, Remy choking her brother, Reece doing a GQ pose, and Zeeke wishing he didn’t have a cast on.

“DAD! DAD! DAD!… are you proud of me?.. I caught a Bass!”

Chloe figures out how to tag along on the walk without exerting precious energy.

The girls display their attitudes at pictures in their bathing suits.

1…2…3… Chloe backs out at the last second.

If it were not for these 5, well… the vacation would have been better, quiet, lonely.

I hooked up with this hot chick while I was there.

…but i left her and found a better kisser.
